Ashely and Jianyuan are recognized as CRA outstanding undergraduate researchers
Ashely Tenesaca and Jianyuan Zhong won honorable mention award for the outstanding CRA undergraduate researcher award. This award recognizes undergraduate students in North American colleges and universities who show outstanding research potential in an area of computing research.
Ashely Tenesaca has been working at the HCI lab for over two years. She was a McNair fellow and worked in several projects including understanding creativity to using AR/VR in assistive technologies. We are very glad to her research contributions being recognized.
Jianyuan Zhong has been working at the HCI lab for the past one year under the mentorship of Kamrul Hasan and Wasifur Rahman. He primarily worked on the multimodal humor understanding project and helped publish a paper at EMNLP.
