Bai is awarded Asaro Biggar Family Fellowship in Data Science
This Fellowship allows the University to honor and encourage outstanding faculty early in their careers.
The Asaro Biggar Professorships/Fellowships in Data Science are a gift from Trustee Stephen Biggar ’92 and his wife, Elisabeth Asaro-Biggar ’92, to support data science at the University of Rochester. Funds from the gift are used to support tenured or tenure-track Arts, Sciences and Engineering faculty who use data science methods to frame, analyze, and resolve the most pressing issues in their fields, and carry a three-year term. This Fellowship allows the University to honor and encourage outstanding faculty early in their careers.
Dr. Bai’s research is on creating embodied and intelligent interfaces for learning, communication and well-being for people with diverse abilities and backgrounds, with a strong focus on accessibility and education.
