Lab member Abdelrahman provided the segment with a demonstration of the tool as well as its potential impacts. The PARK tool is designed to screen for early detection of Parkinson’s symptoms, a disease that currently affects 1.1 million Americans, and is expected to grow to 1.2 by 2030. The tool utilizes non-invasive tasks in order to provide assessments for early detection of the disease from the comfort of participant’s homes.
